Community Safety Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified leader to join our team as the Manager of Community Safety. This is an exciting opportunity to lead our Community Safety service area and make a real difference in our community.

About the Role:

In this role, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to the Community Safety service area, cultivating a high-performance culture through dynamic leadership and people development, optimising resources to achieve exceptional outcomes in service delivery.

  • Fostering high performance and ensuring timely and customer-centric responses that embody the principles of our Customer First approach;
  • Leading and supporting the Service Area in collaborative efforts with other service areas, enhancing cross-organisational involvement for the delivery of community outcomes, fostering effective management of people and resources;
  • Leading and managing the development, implementation, and reviews of Community Safety strategies, policies, and procedures;

Requirements:

We are looking for someone with:

  • A Post Graduate qualification in an appropriate discipline;
  • Extensive experience in a field relevant to community or emergency management, rangers and community safety areas;
  • Experienced and highly proficient in strategic analysis, problem solving, conceptual and lateral thinking, to deliver consistent decision making;
  • Extensive experience in developing, preparing and implementing business plans in diverse and complex service environments to deliver and evaluate exceptional performance;
  • Significant demonstrated experience providing contemporary leadership and operational direction to a large team;
  • Current National Police Clearance, or willingness to obtain;
  • Current 'C' Class Driver's Licence;
