Community Safety Officer

The City is seeking a Customer Service Officer to deliver community safety services as part of our proactive policing strategy.
As a key member of the team, you will provide high-quality customer service and support to build relationships with law enforcement agencies and engage constructively with community members. You will also be responsible for reporting suspicious activities/behaviour and advising relevant authorities accordingly.
- Ensure a high-visibility vehicle based patrol service as the 'eyes on the street' with a focus on safety;
- Build and foster working relationships with law enforcement agencies;
- Engage constructively with community members;
- Provide effective written communication and sound judgment and decision-making skills;
- Deliver customer service/community safety with a high level of attention to detail and professionalism at all times.
The successful candidate will have experience in security related fields and delivering customer service/community safety. They will also be required to hold a current First Aid Certificate, Security Officer's Licence and a current C Class driver's licence. A National Police Certificate must also be renewed every two years.
