Community Exercise Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Exercise Specialist to join our team at the Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Centre. The successful candidate will work within an interdisciplinary team to support clients with new spinal cord injuries.

About the Role:

The Community Exercise Specialist will be responsible for assessing and planning community integration goals, providing community-based exercise intervention and support to clients and their healthcare providers. You will also act as a liaison worker for clients recently discharged from inpatient rehabilitation, being a key contact and support person for their community reintegration journey.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

- A Bachelor of Science - Exercise Rehabilitation or equivalent qualification

- Exercise Physiology accreditation with ESSA

- Evidence of a current driver's licence and willingness to drive for work-related activities

- Experience in prescribing, monitoring, and progressing exercise programs for people with spinal cord injuries
