The myResearch Sydney project aims to digitalize research administration, providing easy access to high-fidelity data and streamlined workflows. Our goal is to free up time for researchers and support staff, focusing on core priorities.
As a flagship project of the university's 2032 strategy, myResearch Sydney has significant impacts on multiple strategic priorities, affecting academic and professional staff across the institution. The project involves multiple delivery partners, including Information and Communications Technology (ICT), Advanced Analytics & Planning (AAP), Finance, Human Resources (HR), and faculties and schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain program management plans for myResearch Sydney, including resource allocation and budgeting.
- Design and implement a consolidated program roadmap for consistency and visibility across program workstreams and the institution.
- Ensure alignment across program workstreams and other initiatives, identifying opportunities for consolidation, leveraging resources, and collaboration.
- Implement project management best practices across the program workstreams efficiently and consistently.
- Optimize resource utilization and deployment across workstreams, including finances, personnel, workspace, and technology.
- Oversee program risk and issue management, monitoring benefits and performance indicators, and data integrity.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience leading multiple large or complex projects/initiatives with deadline management and competing demands.
- Experience coordinating/managing diverse stakeholders at all levels within an organization across multiple projects or a large program.
- Ability to manage budgets and control expenditure for multiple projects or a large program.
- Experience in managing people, their performance, and development, building a culture of collaboration and collegiality.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, sound negotiating and conflict resolution skills, and discretion and tact.
- Experience in the higher education or tertiary sector or a complex, multi-faceted organization.
