About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Support Professional to enhance the lives of individuals with disabilities in Gunnedah.

You will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality support services, promoting community integration, and empowering clients to achieve their personal goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivering Support Services: Provide personalised care and support tailored to the unique needs and goals of clients with disabilities.
  • Assisting Clients: Assist clients in their daily living activities, such as personal care, mobility, and skill development.
  • Promoting Community Integration: Support clients in accessing social and recreational activities, promoting community integration and inclusion.
  • Collaborating with the Team: Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised support plans.
  • Empowering Clients: Encourage independence and empower clients to achieve their personal goals and aspirations.
  • Advocating for Rights: Advocate for the rights and needs of individuals with disabilities, ensuring their voices are heard and respected.
Requirements:
  • Certificate III in Community Service: Hold a Certificate III in Community Service or equivalent, or be willing to obtain.
  • Experience: Have at least 6 months of experience in a similar role, or be ready to learn on the job with buddy shifts provided.
  • Fitness: Require a high level of fitness for manual handling.
  • Availability: Be available to work varying shifts, including night shifts, weekends, and sleepovers.
  • Qualifications: Possess or be willing to obtain a NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDISWSC), hold a current CPR and First Aid certificate, and have a full driver's licence.
  • Personal Qualities: Be passionate about human rights, creating positive change, and working with diverse experiences. Demonstrate empathy, compassion, excellent communication skills, and an enthusiastic team spirit.
