Role Overview
This key role involves assessing credit risk and determining creditworthiness across commercial construction and development finance transactions.
The successful candidate will ensure alignment with our service standards and policies, thereby minimizing financial risks for the organization.
- Credit Assessment: Apply lending authority and expertise to evaluate commercial construction and development finance proposals in line with our credit policies.
- Feasibility Analysis: Review property development feasibility models to assess project viability and identify potential pathways to approval.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with valuation and quantity surveying firms to support informed credit decisions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: 3–5+ years in commercial credit assessment or underwriting, with an approval delegation in development finance.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction and development risk, including experience reviewing property valuations and quantity surveyor reports.
- Analytical Skills: Proven ability to assess feasibility reports and provide clear recommendations.
- Stakeholder Management: Confident engagement with internal teams and external partners to support effective credit outcomes.
