Job Overview

We are seeking a Theatre Orderly to join our diverse and close-knit Day Surgery Unit team at the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne (RDHM). This role is crucial to RDHM's operations, and we are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment with excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient transfers and positioning, ensuring safe handling practices.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene within the operating theatre and surrounding areas.
  • Transport items between departments/services, including documents, specimens, and medical supplies.
  • Organize storerooms, manage waste, and ensure the staff tearoom is restocked and cleaned.
Requirements
  • Organized and efficient individual.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Value workplace diversity and teamwork.
  • Excellent customer service focus.
  • Prior experience working in a hospital environment is preferred.
  • Infection control knowledge is advantageous.
