Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Theatre Bookings Officer to join our team at the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne. This critical role plays a vital part in ensuring seamless patient flow, efficient theatre utilisation, and high-quality customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Experience: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, working closely with the Nurse Unit Manager and Perioperative Coordinator to enhance operational practices and improve patient satisfaction.
  • Theatre Appointments & Coordination: Develop and manage theatre schedules to optimise patient flow, reduce waiting lists, and ensure full theatre utilisation. Coordinate patient surgical needs, monitor referrals, and update availability of operating rooms as needed.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in customer service, conflict resolution, and roster management within a healthcare setting.
  • Advanced knowledge of operating theatre suites and day surgery facilities.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high degree of initiative and flexibility.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Patient Management systems.
