Design Manager Role

The Design Manager role is responsible for leading the design process across various sectors including Commercial, Residential, Education, Industrial, Health, and Government projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage consultants to produce construction documentation.
  • Manage consultants and coordinate the documentation process.
  • Run design meetings and follow up on issues raised by consultants.
  • Hand over documentation to the construction team and assist during construction on design queries.
  • Manage client relationships throughout the design and construction process.

Requirements:
  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a Design Management role.
  • Previous experience working for a head contractor is essential.
  • Experience within the ECI and Tender Phase as well as the Construction & Delivery Phase is advantageous.
  • Strong value engineering and buildability mindset.
  • Experience working on new-build construction projects valued at $30M+.
