Job Description

As a CFD Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for driving mechanical engineering services design, construction, and implementation of enterprise data centers that meet global quality and performance standards. You will work closely with design engineering stakeholders, construction, operations, and commissioning teams within the APAC region to achieve alignment of design and CFD modeling standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate cooling systems using in-depth CFD knowledge to make data-driven decisions aligned with our guidelines
  • Drive successful project delivery while maintaining the highest performance standards
  • Utilize innovation to reduce PUE, water consumption, and CAPEX while increasing efficiency
  • Develop mechanical documentation including narratives, drawings, specifications, etc.
  • Drive process improvements across the organization
  • Perform building energy use calculations for determining capacity and type of cooling system required
  • Perform CFD models on innovative and next generation designs
  • Provide reports to senior leadership on the results of those models
  • Perform water efficiency use calculations to determine quantity of water needed on site
  • Coordinate with construction and commissioning teams to answer requests for information
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 5 years experience with Sigma Six or HELYX CFD modeling software
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering
  • Thorough understanding and use of principles, theories, and concepts in mechanical engineering
  • 8 years experience in designing HVAC systems
