Cyber Security Architect Position

This is a senior role that contributes to the Identity and Access Management (IAM) Squad within the Electricity Networks program, focusing on secure identity architecture and compliance.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled IAM Security Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of enterprise IAM solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and architect secure IAM solutions aligned with best practices and compliance standards.
  • Develop system architecture diagrams including data flows, network topologies, and security controls.
  • Conduct security risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Define and maintain IAM security policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, COBIT, and internal policies.
  • Provide technical guidance across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and mentor junior security professionals.
  • Implement security controls such as Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and Single Sign-On (SSO).
  • Evaluate and select IAM technologies based on security and scalability.
  • Support incident response, digital forensics, and security testing activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement of IAM security posture and processes.
Requirements
  • Minimum 7 years in IAM, with 3+ years in security architecture or consulting.
  • Proven experience designing and optimising IAM solutions in large-scale environments.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement across IT, security, and business teams.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience with IAM platforms such as Active Directory, Azure AD, Okta.
  • Familiarity with Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) tools and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks and audit readiness.

This is a 12-month contract role commencing soon. You'll lead strategic IAM architecture initiatives within a high-impact infrastructure program.
