Lead Climate Strategy in Western Australia

We are seeking a driven Chief Sustainability Strategist to lead our climate change & net-zero strategy services in Western Australia, while also supporting clients across Asia-Pacific.

About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional to build SLR's presence in WA through business development, thought leadership, and client engagement. You will manage end-to-end delivery of climate strategy projects, ensuring quality, insight, and impact.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sustainable solutions for clients in Western Australia.
  • Manage project teams and mentor junior consultants to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Contribute to the development of new service offerings aligned with market needs and regulatory trends.
Requirements
  • 8+ years' experience in climate change, sustainability, or related fields.
  • Proven expertise in climate risk assessments & scenario analysis, GHG accounting (including Scope 3), net-zero, carbon neutral and other sustainability frameworks (including SBTi).
  • Decarbonisation strategy and implementation roadmaps.
  • A thorough understanding of the core requirements of the ASRS, as well as the TCFD recommendations and IFRS S2.
  • A strong understanding of all, and expertise in some, of the core industries & sectors in WA, with a preference for experience in mining and minerals.
  • Demonstrable experience in business development, client growth, and winning work.
  • Ability to distil quantitative and qualitative data and communicate it succinctly to clients.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
