We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in Alice Springs, NT. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing person-centred support to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live independently and participate fully in their communities.
Key Responsibilities- Mentor and support customers to develop their personal interests and skills
- Coach independent living skills, such as cooking, domestic, and social skills
- Administer medication and adhere to individual support plans
- Complete clear and concise handover notes and incident reports
- Provide personal care, including toileting, showering, feeding, and dressing when required
- Facilitate community participation and engagement through access to programs and activities
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, nights, and sleepovers
- Versatile communication skills, including interacting with verbal and non-verbal customers
- Current Driver's License (mandatory requirement)
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- Current First Aid Certificate, HLTAID003 (or confirmation of enrolment)
- Willingness to complete a National Police Check
- Formal qualifications in Disability, Mental Health, Community Services, or similar (advantageous)
