We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for you to make a real difference in the lives of others while developing your skills and experience.

Job Description

As a Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive support services to participants, including traveling between their homes and assisting with daily living and lifestyle requirements.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing personal care and support with showering, dressing, and grooming;
  • Assisting with domestic activities such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation;
  • Transporting participants to medical appointments and grocery shopping;
  • Supporting participants with social and leisure activities;
  • Monitoring participant well-being and reporting on their progress.

You will also be required to adhere to all policies and procedures, ensure the delivery of service provision meets participant satisfaction, and meet all OHS training and compliance requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Current knowledge of the Disability Sector;
  • Behaviour management training (an asset);
  • Previous experience supporting clients with daily routines such as personal care, meal preparation, transport, and community engagement (desirable);
  • Previous experience working autonomously;
  • Able to help set goals and plans to reach them;
  • Strong written and verbal skills, particularly in recording clear and accurate participant records;
  • Experience in delivering excellent customer service;
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships;
  • Proven ability to work in a team and solo environment;
  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex workloads;
  • Ability to be flexible and proactive during high-stress situations.

We offer a competitive salary package of $65,000 - $75,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including:
