Job Description- The leasing Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for growing the company's rental portfolio / rent roll by attracting new clients (landlords) and managing the onboarding of those new clients.
- The primary focus is securing property listings and handing them over to the property management team on business development tasks.
- Develop and implement strategies to grow the rent roll in line with company targets.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities to expand the rental portfolio.
- Generate and follow up on leads for new property management business through various channels.
- Monitor market trends to assess market rental values and provide recommendations to clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, referral partners and developers.
- Conduct professional rental appraisals and prepare management agreements.
- Maintain and grow the agency database of potential clients and key contacts.
- Ensure smooth handover and onboarding process of new properties to the property management team.
- Stay informed of industry regulations to ensure compliance.
- Maintain and update prospecting activity in CRM systems
- Fluent in English, Mandarin proficiency highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of Sydney's rental market.
- Prior experience in business development within the Real Estate industry.
- Proven success in a Leasing Business Development role.
- A positive, outgoing, and professional attitude.
- Confident communicator with excellent communication, networking and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of current legislation and compliance requirements.
- Holds a current Agent's Representative Certificate.
