Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Manager to oversee our payroll operations and drive transformation projects.

This role requires a strong technical understanding of payroll management, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

You will be responsible for ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in all aspects of payroll.

Additionally, you will lead payroll audits and collaborate with external auditors to ensure seamless processes.

A key focus area for this role is the implementation of best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • End-to-end ownership of payroll operations, including compliance, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Drive payroll transformation projects, including system upgrades and process redesign.
  • Lead payroll audits and collaborate with external auditors.
  • Resolve complex payroll queries with clarity and confidence.
  • Benchmark operations against industry best practice and drive improvement.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in end-to-end payroll management within a complex organisation.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation, industrial instruments, and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering payroll process improvements and/or transformation projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – you’re confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A collaborative mindset, with the ability to influence and lead through change.
