As Manager, Environment, you will be responsible for leading the environment function for our Renewables, Gas, and Customer Markets team, ensuring that we meet our environmental compliance obligations and make significant strides in reducing our environmental footprint.

The focus of your role will be to manage, support, drive, and monitor environmental compliance and the development of environmental components of our Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System (HSEMS).

You will also be responsible for implementing the HSEMS, Environmental Strategic programs, and compliance frameworks for our sites and across Integrated Energy.

">

Additionally, you will coach, mentor, and support our site leadership team in environmental matters, helping them to develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their roles.

">

This fixed-term contract position offers flexible working arrangements and the opportunity to perform meaningful work without losing sight of the important things outside of the office.

">

With experience working with environmental management systems, undertaking environmental audits, and environmental data management and reporting, you will have broad technical environmental skills, including a strong understanding of solid waste management, emissions to air, discharges to water, contamination of land and groundwater.

">

Your expertise in risk management will have a direct impact on the reduction of environmental incidents and contribution to reducing the potential for litigation associated with incidents.

">

In addition, you will have a thorough understanding of local, state, and federal planning approvals and pathways and environmental legislation across Australia, as well as a high level of business acumen and awareness of impacting priorities within a large, complex organization.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage with people at all levels, will contribute to developing quality relationships with regulatory authorities, councils, consultants, and contractors.

Keeping abreast of relevant legislation, regulations, and environmental management practice, you will have a strategic understanding of project management methodologies and be able to confidently provide advice and support on environmental aspects of projects and operations.
