Reliability and Environmental Degradation Management Specialist

The role of Reliability and Environmental Degradation Management Specialist is a vital position in the Air Combat and Electronic Attack Sustainment Program. As part of this program, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and environmental degradation control outcomes for the F/A-18F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler platforms at RAAF Amberley.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Creating analysis to make recommendations to product support teams, system safety, human factors and system support/supportability specialists in order to influence design and maintenance to comply with requirements.
  • Review Environmental Degradation condition data and assess trends.
  • Investigate the cause of adverse Environmental Degradation trends and engage external resources (USN, DSTG, etc.) for support in exploring corrosion control methodologies.
  • Identify best practices and technology solutions that could be applied to improve aircraft environmental degradation control outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications in engineering or equivalent technical experience in an aircraft maintenance and reliability program.
  • A sound understanding of aircraft maintenance programs, preferably fast jet or similar.
  • Well-developed communication skills to work collaboratively to a high standard within a multi-discipline team.
