The Disability Support Worker plays a pivotal role in enabling individuals with disabilities to maintain an exceptional quality of life.

Our team empowers customers to participate fully in their communities and maximise independence, guided by our core values of respect, collaboration, innovative thinking, and honesty.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assisting customers with daily living activities, including personal care, manual handling, transportation, shopping, community participation, medication administration, healthcare appointments, domestic assistance, cooking, and meal preparation.
  • Providing person-centred support and utilising a recovery-focused approach to help customers achieve their goals.
  • Effectively communicating with customers, colleagues, supervisors, and stakeholders using excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Working effectively as part of a team, unsupervised, or individually to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Responding promptly to concerns related to risk and customer care, with a clear understanding of mandatory reporting guidelines.
  • Completing customer documentation, key worker reports, person-centred plans, risk assessments, incident reports, progress notes, and other relevant records.
  • Collaborating with Accommodation Managers to identify continuous improvements in customer support needs and service delivery.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current Unrestricted NSW Drivers Licence
  • Strong computer literacy skills
  • Able to work within our value-based framework, upholding the values of honesty, respect, collaboration, and innovative thinking
  • Robust understanding of Disability Standards and ability to translate these into practice
  • Self-motivated individuals with a positive attitude
  • Experience working with diverse physical, emotional, and mental health conditions is desired
