Job Description:

As a Mechanical Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting and managing diverse portfolios of mechanical fabrication and fitting related projects at our Coke Plant 2 - Asset Development team.

  • Planning, staging, and working through each aspect of the project lifecycle.
  • Liaising with internal and external resources to develop customer requirement specifications, scope of work, design review, and handover expectations/deliverables.
  • Developing technical specifications and tendering contractors for pre-work, shut work, and commissioning tasks.
  • Ensuring project documentation is completed, including drawings, manuals, data sheets, part lists, cataloguing, and punch lists.
  • Providing technical advice, commissioning, and post-commissioning support during project handover.
  • Supervising maintenance and installation activities while ensuring safety standards are met.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A fabrication or mechanical fitting background in a trade qualification, diploma, or degree.
  • Understanding or experience interpreting structural fabrication drawings and welding processes.
  • Ability to influence peers and colleagues to meet operational requirements, scheduling, and people demands.
  • Experience in plant process, equipment problem solving, and reliability improvement.
  • Exposure to document control and reporting processes.
