Overview

The Assistant Financial Controller plays a pivotal role in the leadership of our global controllership function. This key position reports directly to the Group Financial Controller and oversees regional finance teams across time zones, ensuring alignment with global accounting policies and processes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Managing regional finance teams, overseeing financial reporting, and maintaining strong internal controls.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate completion of monthly close processes, journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting prepared by regional teams.
  • Providing payment approval authority for accounts payable and payroll disbursements as required.
  • Assisting in the preparation of half-year and full-year financial statements for the Group, ensuring compliance with AASB and IFRS standards.
  • Coodinating with external auditors during interim and year-end audits, preparing supporting schedules and documentation.

Key Qualifications:

  • Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) qualified
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • 10+ years' experience in financial accounting or controllership roles, ideally in an ASX-listed or multinational environment
  • Prior leadership or management experience, including oversight of remote or regional finance teams
