We're building tomorrow's bank today, which means we need creative engineers to help us redefine what customers expect from a bank. Our software team is responsible for delivering digital banking services to our customers.

As a Full Stack Staff Software Engineer, you'll be part of our Electronic Interest Rate Swap (eIRS) team, working on a greenfields project. You'll be responsible for delivering a new pricing and trading engine that will form the core offering for our swaps trading desk.

You'll be doing hands-on coding and shaping the technical evolution of this system by contributing to end-to-end design, implementation, and delivery. Your responsibilities will include developing User Interfaces, APIs, microservices, backend components, data access layers, and driving innovative process improvements that add significant business value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and deploy high-quality software solutions.
  • Execute cutting-edge coding practices to solve core business objectives and minimise risks.
  • Collaborate closely with business analysts and product managers to understand business requirements and architects to understand (and where necessary contribute to) design.
  • Educate, communicate and positively influence various stakeholder groups.
  • Coach junior engineers, sharing knowledge to uplift and improve software development practices.
  • Work well in teams and have strong collaboration skills in driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Front-end experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and React.
  • Backend experience with Java and Spring Boot.
  • Proficient with asynchronous microservices architecture and API design patterns.
  • Working knowledge of message brokers such as Apache Kafka.
  • Hands-on experience with Cloud platform - AWS preferred.
  • Trading experience - Highly desirable.
  • CI/CD configuration experience especially in Cloud environments.
