Financial Accounting Assistant

This role is ideal for an enthusiastic and proactive individual who is currently studying or aiming to study their CA or CPA.

  • Perform daily reconciliations of bank accounts across Australian, New Zealand and US entities.
  • Support monthly and annual financial reporting and assist with external audits.
  • Prepare and lodge BAS, GST and FBT returns, including liaising with tax authorities, external auditors and advisors.
  • Manage month end tasks, including cash flow integration for NZ and US entities.
  • Drive accounting process improvements and maintain updated documentation.
  • Handle banking administration, maintaining signatory records and supporting finance queries.
Key Requirements
  • Completed business degree (or equivalent).
  • CA/CPA qualification desirable but not essential.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role (e.g. finance assistant, accounting officer, etc.).
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working within an ASX-listed environment or multinational subsidiary beneficial.
  • MS Excel skills essential.
  • Deadline driven with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously and willingness to learn.
