Android QA Analyst

About this role
  • You will work with a team of software and QA engineers responsible for the complete Software Development Life Cycle and operations of our new frameworks and services.
  • Design, implement, execute, and maintain test cases on different devices and platforms.
  • Carry out technical assessments on requested features and identify the scope of work/dependencies for test requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance in identifying automation targets and designing white box test scenarios, participate in design reviews, and recommend improvements.

This role requires excellent technical knowledge and skills in software testing, specifically in Android platform and Kotlin language.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement automated tests using various tools and technologies.
  • Analyze code for efficiency, reliability, and performance.
  • Lead performance benchmark testing initiatives for mobile applications to ensure optimal application performance.
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders in creating and executing test plans.
  • Mentor Junior QA staff in advanced testing techniques and coding practices.

Requirements:

  • BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with the Android platform and understanding of Kotlin language.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in software test engineering including both white-box and black-box test methodologies.
  • Expert knowledge of the mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Software Quality Assurance concepts, best practices, and procedures.
  • Good knowledge of any scripting language preferably Python.
  • Expertise in Software Test Automation Framework.
