About the RoleThis position involves working with women who have experienced family and domestic violence, providing them with personalized financial counseling and guidance to help them manage their finances effectively.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, empathy, and a deep understanding of the complex dynamics surrounding financial abuse.
In this role, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement trauma-informed financial counseling services that address the unique needs of each client.
Key Responsibilities- Provide one-on-one financial counseling to women who have experienced family and domestic violence
- Assess clients' financial situations and develop tailored plans to improve their financial stability
- Collaborate with other professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to supporting clients
- Maintain accurate records and reports on client progress and outcomes
- Diploma in Financial Counseling or relevant qualification
- Current registration with the Financial Counseling Association of WA (FCAWA)
- Experience working with survivors of family and domestic violence
- Sound knowledge of community resources and ability to navigate external agency requirements
- Capability to work within a trauma-informed model of service delivery
