Agricultural Product Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Agricultural Product Specialist to join our team in Dalby. As a key member of our merchandise team, you will be responsible for building long-lasting partnerships with customers and delivering expert advice and services using your knowledge of agricultural products and supplies.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the sales of rural merchandise, including agricultural chemicals, seed, animal health, animal management, fencing, water equipment, and general merchandise.
- Oversee the associated management of inventory, including forecasting, planning, procurement, ordering, sales processing, logistics, stock controls, and stocktakes.
- Collaborate with management, agronomists, procurement, and other team members to meet the needs and requirements of our clients and customers.
- Manage the regional storage warehouse facility and associated logistics.
- Work closely with supplier representatives to deliver value and solutions to our clients and customers, implementing marketing initiatives to grow our business.
- You will have a strong technical background, experience in pricing and margin management, and sales target achievement through effective category development.
- Ideal candidates will have relevant agricultural industry knowledge and warehouse management experience.
- You will be able to network and identify opportunities for business development, which will be key to your success.
- You will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to foster solid long-term relationships with customers and key internal stakeholders, as well as the ability to drive business outcomes and performance.
- You will also have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ideal candidates will have exposure to SAP ERP and strong MS Excel skills for reporting.
- A forklift ticket is required, and a HR licence is advantageous or willingness to obtain.
