We're seeking a skilled Maintenance Hand to join our team at the Aronui Feedlot. As a key member of our maintenance team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our feedlot, including:
Key Responsibilities:- Daily Pen Surface Maintenance: Regularly scrape and clean pen surfaces to maintain animal welfare standards.
- Manure Management: Push manure in fence lines and cart it to designated stockpiles.
- Mechanical Repairs: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on feedlot, feedmill, farm equipment, and vehicles.
- Workplace Safety: Ensure adherence to health and safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
- Workshop Maintenance: Keep floors, benches, and equipment clean and serviceable to maintain an efficient workshop.
- Maintenance Program: Work according to a scheduled maintenance program for all vehicle, plant, and machinery.
- Repair and Maintenance: Undertake regular services and overhauls, and complete repairs and maintenance using power tools, welders, and air tools.
- Fabrication and Welding: Fabricate, weld, and assemble structural metal products to required specifications.
- Operational Support: Assist with general maintenance of buildings and station structures, including routine daily checks and services of equipment.
- Production Support: Assist with the production and manufacturing of lick blocks.
- Livestock Support: Assist with livestock crew tasks, including animal health and processing, when necessary.
