Job Opportunity: Finance Support Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to provide support in key financial processes. As a finance support specialist, you will play an integral role in delivering accurate and timely finance operations that support our national services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for entering accurate and timely data for accounts receivable and accounts payable, processing weekly payment runs, bank account, and credit card transfers, payments, coding, and reconciliations. Additionally, they will manage debtor collections and associated reporting, process and monitor customer budget funding requests, and provide administrative support for all bank account and credit card requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Entering accurate and timely data for accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Processing of weekly payment runs, bank account, and credit card transfers, payments, coding, and reconciliations.
  • Managing debtor collections and associated reporting.
  • Processing and monitoring customer budget funding requests.
  • Providing administrative support for all bank account and credit card requirements.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess entry-level skills and experience, with general bookkeeping skills desirable but not essential. You must have professional email and report writing skills, with the ability to format and write clear finance-related correspondence. Time-management and organisational skills are also essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel and Outlook. A current unencumbered Class C Drivers Licence is required, and you may also need to hold or be willing to obtain an approved WWC.

You will be proactive, accurate, and detail-orientated with strong analytical and decision-making skills. You must be able to meet deadlines for reports, reconciliations, or audits, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills with an exceptional eye for detail. Finally, you will be a team player with a professional and positive personal presence.
