We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Audit Manager with Mandarin language proficiency to join our team in Brisbane. As a key member of our China desk, you will provide audit and accounting advice and services to our Australia-based Chinese clients and large international China-based clients.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and execute audits in accordance with the Audit manual, ensuring the adequacy of workpaper documentation and the appropriateness of performance tests.
- Develop and implement engagement scoping and objective setting, with a focus on understanding the tests, client, industry, risks, and controls.
- Lead client engagements, including planning, executing, directing, and completing financial audits, and providing clear instructions and directions to all levels of staff.
- Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, ensuring timely and clear communication of findings, outstanding information requests, and client relationships.
- Contribute to performance review feedback and assist in monitoring team WIP and write-offs.
- Demonstrated external audit experience in a public practice firm.
- Commerce-related Bachelor's degree and CA/CPA qualification or equivalent.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks and make informed decisions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to consult with peers and communicate effectively in Mandarin and English.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and view engagements holistically.
