About the Role

This position offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work as a Heavy Diesel Fitter, responsible for maintaining large-scale mobile mining equipment. The role involves performing servicing, repair, and maintenance tasks on various types of equipment, including CAT Trucks, Dozers, and Graders, as well as Liebherr Excavators and semi-autonomous CAT Drills.

The successful candidate will have experience maintaining Caterpillar tracked and ancillary equipment, with a strong focus on troubleshooting and component changeouts. A Trade Certificate as a Plant Mechanic or equivalent is required, along with a valid Australian Driver's license and citizenship or visa.

We are seeking a self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic, who is able to work independently and as part of a team. Experience working at heights, MDG25, and High Risk Work Licence - WP, DG, LF etc. would be highly regarded.

Responsibilities
  • Perform servicing, repair, and maintenance tasks on large-scale mobile mining equipment
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance activities to ensure equipment is in good working condition
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose faults, making repairs and replacements as needed
  • Work safely and efficiently, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines
Requirements
  • Trade Certificate as a Plant Mechanic or equivalent
  • Valid Australian Driver's license
  • Valid Australian Citizenship or visa
  • Post-trade experience in maintenance, diagnosis, component changeouts, and servicing of heavy earth moving equipment
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
