Job Title: Development Assessment Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Development Assessment and Building Certification Division as a Development Assessment Coordinator.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the Development Assessment Team in providing high-quality development assessment services. This will include monitoring workflows, managing stakeholders, and contributing to Council's strategic goals.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in planning and development, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be able to work effectively in a team environment, adapt to changing priorities, and make effective decisions in tight timeframes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Development Assessment Team in providing high-quality development assessment services.
  • Monitor workflows and manage stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of services.
  • Contribute to Council's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement procedural improvements to work practices and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications relevant to the role, such as a Bachelor of Planning.
  • General Construction Induction Training Card (White Card).
  • Current Class C Driver's Licence.
  • Highly developed skills in managing multiple projects and making effective decisions in tight timeframes.
  • Substantial experience in providing leadership, motivation, and adapting to change in a team environment.
  • Highly developed communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills strongly focused on the provision of quality customer service.
