Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Chief Merchandise Officer to lead our emerging markets strategy. As a key member of the UMENCO team, you will be responsible for developing and executing seasonal category plans that drive group sales, margins, and stock turn targets.

Role Overview:

  • You will spearhead the development and execution of merchandising strategies to boost group sales, margins, sell-through rates, and stock turn targets.
  • Crafting and executing a merchandise and buying strategy that meets commercial goals and upholds brand values.
  • Managing financial and merchandise KPIs, including range planning, option counts, and stock levels.
  • Overseeing top-down and bottom-up forecasting processes for DTC and wholesale groups.

About the Role:

  • This role encompasses managing financial and merchandise KPIs, including range planning, option counts and stock levels, while overseeing both top-down and bottom-up forecasting processes for DTC and wholesale groups.
  • The successful candidate will work closely with Design and Products teams to refine price architecture and execution strategies and partner with Sourcing to enhance the brand's value through strategic style and fabric planning.
  • A critical part of the role will involve mentoring and developing the Buying and Planning teams, fostering a culture of transparency, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in merchandising, with a proven ability to achieve KPIs.
  • Advanced Excel and reporting skills, with acute attention to detail.

Compensation Package:

We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 per annum, plus benefits and bonuses based on performance. The estimated annual salary includes a base salary of $100,000 and an average bonus of $20,000.
