Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Water Resource Engineering Team Leader to join our team.

About the Role
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge required to excel in their roles.
  • Oversight of daily team operations, including workload management, work allocation, and deadline tracking.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, clients, and external partners to ensure exceptional service delivery.
  • Review and approve technical work to guarantee compliance with quality standards.
  • Scope projects, develop fee proposals, and manage project budgets to deliver results that meet client expectations.
  • Assist with financial duties, including invoicing, variations, and reporting.
  • Represent the organization at meetings, presentations, and public forums.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (Chartered/Registered in Victoria preferred).
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in water resources or civil stormwater engineering, including leadership or senior-level responsibilities.
  • Strong technical skills in hydrology, drainage design, and modelling (ARR2019, Melbourne Water Standards).
  • Proven project management skills – delivering on time, on budget, and to client satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Financial acumen in budget management, fee proposals, and invoicing.
  • Experience working with Melbourne Water, councils, or other authorities (highly regarded).
