Medical Service Company Prior Authorization Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:- Support intake staff by verifying insurance coverage.
- Initiate authorization requests with insurance companies and government payers.
- Communicate and report any insurance-related issues for order fulfillment.
- Monitor outstanding authorization requests and follow up in a timely manner.
- Assist with insurance changes when prior authorizations are needed.
- Manage phone calls related to prior authorizations.
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
- Multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented and team player.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in multiple computer applications.
- DME/HME industry knowledge preferred.
