Job Title: Operations and Infrastructure Manager

WA's first world-class film studio seeks a seasoned professional to oversee the smooth operation of its facilities.

This critical role requires an experienced Facilities Manager who can ensure seamless day-to-day operations, technical systems management, safety compliance, and sustainability leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance Management – Plan and execute routine maintenance, manage vendor relationships, and ensure optimal facility performance.
  • Production Support – Configure and adapt spaces to meet evolving production needs, guaranteeing timely delivery and minimizing downtime.
  • Smart Systems Optimization – Monitor and enhance EMS, BMS, and related building systems to maximize efficiency and reduce energy consumption.
  • Sustainability Leadership – Champion the studio's Sustainability Plan by implementing practical solutions that drive environmental stewardship.
  • Compliance and Safety – Maintain high standards of workplace health and safety across all facilities and contractor work, ensuring regulatory compliance at all times.
  • Contract and Budget Oversight – Manage vendor contracts and service delivery while tracking performance and expenditure.
  • Emergency Planning – Develop and maintain clear emergency response procedures, ensuring prompt action in case of emergencies.
  • Team Leadership – Lead and support a facilities team to achieve excellence in operations and continuous improvement.

About You:

  • Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) – a trade or technical qualification is beneficial but not essential.
  • At least 5 years' experience in facilities or asset management, with proven vendor and budget oversight.
  • Proactive problem-solving mindset and hands-on technical capability.
  • WHS certification or willingness to obtain one.
  • Hold or willing to obtain certifications such as forklift, telehandler, EWP/boom lifts, IPAF.
  • Experience in screen, event, or entertainment infrastructure is highly valued.
