About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Wellbeing Officer to join our team at Bupa Woodville Care Home. As a Wellbeing Officer, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents by creating engaging and inclusive activities that promote social interaction, emotional well-being, and overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Activity Planning and Delivery: Develop and implement creative activity programs that cater to the diverse interests and needs of our residents, including art classes, gardening clubs, day trips, and movie nights.
  2. Resident Support and Care: Provide emotional support and assistance with daily living activities, such as mealtimes and outings, to residents with cognitive impairment or mental health needs.
  3. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Lifestyle Coordinator and care team to plan activities, document progress, and escalate any concerns.
  4. Hygiene and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe environment by following infection control protocols and adhering to food safety standards.
  5. Catering Support: Assist with plating and serving meals, monitoring resident preferences and adhering to food safety standards.
What We're Looking For
  1. A compassionate and empathetic individual with a passion for enriching lives.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with residents and colleagues.
  3. Flexibility and adaptability, with a can-do attitude and willingness to take on new challenges.
  4. A creative spark, with a ability to generate innovative ideas and solutions.
  5. Previous experience in caring for elders within an Aged Care or community setting is essential.
  6. Current Certificate III in Leisure and Lifestyle or Individual Support or willingness to complete, and a First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
  7. Australian driver's licence.
