Position Overview

We are in search of a Traffic Engineer to contribute to our projects, particularly focusing on the Eastern Freeway – Burke to Tram Alliance.

Core Responsibilities

  • Deliver onsite engineering expertise and technical assistance to guarantee that traffic management planning, execution, and upkeep adhere to established standards.
  • Utilize professional judgment and negotiation skills to address traffic management challenges effectively.
  • Manage financial aspects, including identifying cost-saving opportunities and overseeing budgets.
  • Generate reports on traffic engineering performance, compliance, and any defects or non-conformities.
  • Conduct risk assessments to formulate Traffic Management Plans.
  • Safeguard the well-being of engineers, workforce, and the public by implementing appropriate and compliant traffic management strategies and control measures during construction activities.

Candidate Profile

  • A relevant engineering degree is required, along with prior experience in a comparable traffic or civil engineering role.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing large-scale projects that involve significant traffic volumes and present technical, logistical, and traffic management challenges.
  • A strong commitment to safety in daily operations, complemented by exceptional problem-solving and organizational capabilities.
  • A proactive leadership style that fosters collaboration across departments to achieve optimal project outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills and a solid grasp of traffic management issues are essential for effective interaction with local road authorities and other stakeholders.
