We are seeking an experienced Traffic Engineer to join our team at Public Sector People for a 2-month temporary contract assignment with immediate start. As a Traffic Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Key Responsibilities:- Reviewing and providing comments on transport, traffic, and parking related issues.
- Assisting with the development and implementation of Traffic Management Plans.
- Investigating the effectiveness of transport related projects.
The successful candidate will have:
Required Skills and Experience:- Previous local government experience in traffic and transport engineering.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and learn new systems and software quickly.
This will be a 2-month temporary contract with hybrid working arrangements. The ideal candidate will have:
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering.
- Previous Traffic Engineering experience in local government.
- Demonstrated knowledge of traffic and civil engineering principles.
- Understanding of relevant road and traffic guidelines, standards, procedures, and Government legislation.
- Strong customer service skills & excellent written and oral communication skills.
- An ability to be part of a working team.
- An ability to respond to changing priorities and able to complete tasks within tight timeframes.
