Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Traffic Engineer to join our team at Public Sector People for a 2-month temporary contract assignment with immediate start. As a Traffic Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reviewing and providing comments on transport, traffic, and parking related issues.
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of Traffic Management Plans.
  • Investigating the effectiveness of transport related projects.

The successful candidate will have:

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Previous local government experience in traffic and transport engineering.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and learn new systems and software quickly.

This will be a 2-month temporary contract with hybrid working arrangements. The ideal candidate will have:

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering.
  • Previous Traffic Engineering experience in local government.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of traffic and civil engineering principles.
  • Understanding of relevant road and traffic guidelines, standards, procedures, and Government legislation.
  • Strong customer service skills & excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • An ability to be part of a working team.
  • An ability to respond to changing priorities and able to complete tasks within tight timeframes.
