Job Summary:
Aspect Personnel is seeking a highly skilled Traffic Engineer to join our team on an initial 3-month contract. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing engineering expertise to support the delivery of traffic and road safety capital works projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering recommendations to address traffic, parking, road safety, and public transport issues impacting the council.
- Develop and review traffic management plans to ensure safe and efficient traffic flow.
- Conduct traffic investigations to identify areas for improvement.
- Assess planning applications to ensure compliance with traffic regulations.
- Respond to enquiries from local residents and clients, providing excellent customer service.
- Identify and provide recommendations on accident blackspots to improve road safety.
Requirements:
- A degree in Civil Engineering or relevant experience/qualifications.
- Experience working as a Traffic or Transport Engineer, preferably within Local Government.
- Ability to prepare and review Traffic Management Plans.
- Solid knowledge of Local Government traffic and transport procedures and policies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A current driver's license.
