Director of Student Experience

The department head is accountable for designing and implementing student engagement and wellbeing initiatives across the institution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage student engagement and wellbeing programs, including individualized and small group interventions aimed at enhancing social-emotional support for identified students.
- Coordinate whole-of-institution assemblies, events, and activities related to pastoral care.
- Collaborate with senior leaders and wellbeing specialists to promote the adoption of Positive Behaviour for Learning throughout the institution.
- Develop and maintain risk assessments, support plans, and personalized learning records in collaboration with senior leaders and guidance officers.
- Work closely with members of the leadership team and support staff to cater to diverse learners, including First Nations students, English language background students, Out of Home Care students, and other students requiring specialized support.
- Provide professional development opportunities for all staff on inclusive practices to enhance teaching quality and meet the needs of all learners.
- Monitor and analyze data to track student engagement and wellbeing outcomes across the institution.
- Lead and model a visible culture of excellence that celebrates academic, sporting, cultural, and personal achievements, as well as promoting best practice among educators, in line with institutional values.
