Location Preferences
Ideal if you're based in or near Wollongong, Fairy Meadow, Figtree, Corrimal, Unanderra, Dapto, Warrawong, Berkeley, Shellharbour, or Port Kembla.
About the Role- Providing support with personal care, community access, and daily routines for clients with complex trauma, high challenging behaviors, and/or high physical/clinical needs.
- Working collaboratively with external care teams and families to deliver person-centered support and enhance participants' everyday living skills.
- Managing complex needs including behaviours of concern, trauma, forensic backgrounds, and high clinical needs.
- Administering medication and following detailed health support plans.
- Implementing behaviour support plans and using de-escalation techniques.
- Providing meaningful, person-centred care to NDIS participants.
Successful candidates will have:
- Minimum 6 months' experience in disability, aged care, mental health, or related fields.
- Certificate III/IV/Diploma in Disability, Individual Support, Aged Care, or similar (preferred).
- Bachelor's in Nursing is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience with high physical and clinical needs, including medication administration.
- Strong understanding of professional boundaries, restrictive practices, and behaviour support.
- Effective written and verbal communication, including clear case note writing.
- Able to set priorities, meet deadlines, and work under pressure with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
- NDIS Worker Screening, First Aid, Driver's Licence, and insured vehicle.
