We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and knowledgeable Disability Support Worker to join our team in Wollongong, supporting a young patient with a disability.

About the role

The patient has been diagnosed with Gabriele de Vries syndrome which results in the lack of ability to mobilise, and struggles to drink orally so is fed through a PEG. Our ideal candidate will have experience in PEG feeding and be able to provide support with daily living tasks including:

  • Assistance with daily living
  • PEG/solids feeding
  • Implementing therapy exercises
  • Attending therapy appointments/Assisting in sessions
About you

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Cert III - IV in Disability and/or equivalent experience
  • First Aid
  • Experience and/or training in PEG feeding
  • WWCC
  • National Police Clearance
