Responsibilities:- Support clients during morning routines and activities, promoting independence and well-being.
- Implement effective behaviour management techniques as required, ensuring the safety and comfort of clients.
- Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering strong relationships and trust.
- Assist with daily living tasks and personal care, respecting client autonomy and dignity.
- Ensure clients' safety and well-being during passive sleepovers, prioritizing their needs and preferences.
About the Client:
You will be supporting an adult male in his late 20's who has a keen interest in music, being purposeful around the house (such as making tea and coffees, cleaning, sweeping, vacuuming and emptying rubbish bins) and gardening. The client is physically fit and likes to get out into the community, but can also find this causes anxiety.
Requirements:
- Experience in behaviour management, including de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention.
- A strong commitment to providing high-quality care, prioritizing client-centred approaches and person-centred values.
- Current First Aid Certification, with regular updates and training.
- Working with Children Check (desired).
- Driver Licence (desired).
- NDIS Screening Check (desired).
- Certificate III in Disability or Equivalent (desired).
