Clinical Nurse Position

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Clinical Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in our Outpatient Anaesthetic Triage Service. As a key member of our team, you will use your expertise to deliver exceptional patient care, continually developing from a competent to proficient practitioner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain high practice standards and oversee delegated activities.
  • Guide less experienced staff in their professional growth.
  • Work closely with the Anaesthetic Medical Team to determine patient suitability for day-of-surgery anaesthetic evaluations.
  • Optimise patient safety and surgical readiness.
  • Support patients in making informed decisions about their care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and share best practices.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development.
Requirements:
  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Current practising certificate.
  • At least three years of post-registration experience.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Experience mentoring and guiding student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses.
  • Sound understanding of legislation, industry standards, quality improvement systems, and contemporary nursing practices.
