Job Title: Clinical Nurse Manager

About the Role

This is a permanent part-time, fixed-term part-time or casual appointment for 45 hours per fortnight. The possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency exists.

We are seeking to appoint a suitably experienced and highly motivated Clinical Nurse Manager-After Hours who will provide after-hours administration and bed management for Carnarvon Hospital. Demonstrates leadership and role modelling. Promotes and ensures maintenance of clinical standards of quality of care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide effective leadership and direction to nursing staff in the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines that promote safe and efficient patient care practices.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to patient care and hospital operations.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on best practices and evidence-based research.

Requirements
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector.
  • Current registration as a nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Postgraduate degree in nursing or a related field, preferably with a focus on clinical leadership.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior nursing role, preferably in a similar setting.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
