
Clinical Lead in Indigenous Healthcare

We are seeking Nurse Practitioners to lead advanced clinical care services in primary healthcare clinics.
This role is responsible for delivering culturally safe and responsive primary health care aligned with our Model of Care.
The ideal candidate will possess current AHPRA registration with endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner and demonstrated experience in a primary healthcare setting.
- Clinical expertise in triage, treatment, and ongoing care management
- Ability to communicate effectively across multidisciplinary and cross-cultural teams
- Cultural humility and a willingness to learn in an Aboriginal health context
- Collaborative approach and ability to adapt to a diverse service environment

About the OpportunityWe are seeking multiple Nurse Practitioners based in various locations. This newly created role reports to the Senior Medical Officer.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting independent patient assessments, diagnoses, and clinical decision-making
- Prescribing medications under authorised standards
- Ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic investigations
- Managing recalls, reminders, and follow-up care processes
- Collaborating across departments and multidisciplinary teams
- Leading and contributing to quality improvement activities and clinical audits
- Participating in clinical governance and safeguarding practices for children and young people
