Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Media and Public Relations Specialist.

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in media relations, strategic storytelling, and corporate communication.

The selected individual will be responsible for developing and implementing media strategies that increase brand awareness, build strong media relationships, and manage proactive and reactive media opportunities.

  • Key responsibilities include:
    • Media and public relations management: Develop and deliver media and PR activity to increase brand visibility.
    • Strategic storytelling: Find and share powerful stories that highlight the experiences of people with lung disease and lung cancer.
    • Corporate communication: Contribute to the development of newsletters, corporate reports, blogs, and supporter publications.
    • Performance monitoring and reporting: Evaluate media impact and adjust strategy accordingly.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in journalism, public relations, communications, marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in media and public relations, ideally within the non-profit or health sector.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing media strategies that increase brand awareness.
  • Exceptional storytelling, writing, and editing skills, with experience translating complex subject matter into accessible, engaging content.
