Business Analyst Job Overview

The role of a Business Analyst at our organization is to provide critical support to the General Manager – Joint Ventures, ensuring the successful implementation of financial, operational, and governance commitments under a national joint venture with a top-tier client.

As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for reviewing and tracking financial performance against P&L and cashflow budgets across joint ventures. You will develop and implement data collation, reporting, and analysis to ensure contractual and financial obligations are met.

You will identify and address gaps against contractual and financial targets, proposing corrective action plans. Additionally, you will assist with invoice preparation, validation, and dispute resolution, including recipient-created tax invoices.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Review and track financial performance against P&L and cashflow budgets across joint ventures.
  • Develop and implement data collation, reporting, and analysis to ensure contractual and financial obligations are met.
  • Identify and address gaps against contractual and financial targets, proposing corrective action plans.
  • Assist with invoice preparation, validation, and dispute resolution, including recipient-created tax invoices.
  • Support KPI incentive and deduction regimes with accurate calculation and documentation.

To succeed in this role, you will need tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, information systems or a related field. Proven experience as a business analyst, ideally in infrastructure, energy, or waste management sectors, is highly desirable.
