Mechanical Fitter and Boilermaker

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter and Boilermaker to join our team at Queensland Alumina Limited (QAL). As a key member of our Plant Shift Maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our alumina refinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plant equipment, including pumps, turbines, and mills
- Conduct welding and fabrication work to support plant operations
- Develop and implement improvements to plant equipment and processes
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve safe and sustainable operations
Requirements
- Trade qualifications as a Boilermaker or Mechanical Fitter
- Experience with maintenance of pumps, turbines, mills, and fans
- Ability to work safely and effectively in a team environment
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on new challenges
