As an ICU Registrar with JPS Medical, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in critical care medicine while contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care in a tropical setting.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced ICU Registrar to join our team in a 6-12 month accredited training position. This is an excellent opportunity for registrars looking to develop their skills in intensive care medicine, particularly in tropical medicine and Aboriginal Health.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert care and advice for the management of ICU patients, including admitting, managing and discharging patients under the supervision of the ICU consultant.
- Conduct regular inpatient ward rounds incorporating teaching to a multi-disciplinary team and provide an opinion/advice to referring medical practitioners if requested.

About Our Facility- An annual admission rate of 1250 patients (adult and paediatric)
- Accredited for 12 months of CICM training with accreditation towards rural, paediatrics, trauma and neurosurgery requirements.
- AHPRA Registration
- Experience level: for registrar role: PGY 4 or above with experience in a critical care department
- For senior registrars you must be a member of a critical care training pathway (CICM, ANZCA, ACEM) and expected to complete training within 2 years
- An interest in and a commitment to improving Indigenous health.
We offer a competitive salary package of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
